Fun Friday: Gangnam Style Round Up

By now you have probably heard Psy's Gangnam Style. It was an awesome start to the day when I hopped in my car, turned on the radio and got to hear some K-Pop blasting through my speakers.

If you're like me and you lurve to learn and read then this is for you. Best of all it is free. Coursera offers a wide range of courses from different universities. Like regular courses, you sign up and have tasks to complete. I can't wait until they add a social media course. 

Then there is MIT which offers over 1800 courses and yes they are free. They have a plethora of topics that are arranged by department. You could spend hours browsing through all of the courses. 

If you are still not sure people are talking about when they speak of pinning, tweeting and writing on a wall, then this is for you. GCS Learn Free has all of the social media basics. 

Birthday Cake & Cup Cakes

So last week it was my birthday. I lurve birthdays because they make you realize who all your awesome friends are. I had a wonderful time and thought I would share some stuff. Now it is no secret that I love pandas. My BFF made me this amazing panda cake. I was so chuffed with it that she said "I didn't even have to buy you anything. You would have been happy with just the cake". It was that awesome. 

Unfortunately we couldn't eat all of it in one go, so my panda cake now lies hacked up in pieces in the freezer. He will be consumed one body part at a time. Nom, nom, nom. 

Another friend, who knows that I also lurve pigs, made me these awesome cupcakes. Seriously they were the best tasting cupcakes ever. So good that I even had one for breakfast. Breakfast of champions. I need to get my hands on that recipe. 

These were eaten all in one go.

A very happy unbirthday to you!

Birthdays are all about getting older and wiser, gifts and of course cake. I remember for my 16th Birthday my mom decided to whip me up a Winnie-the-Pooh cake. Although it looked deformed, it was the best tasting cake ever. And as we all know it is the thought that counts.  Check out Cake Wrecks for an exciting layout of the worst (read best) cakes ever.

For Your Face: Pancakes (recipe)

So this weekend was one of those awesome ones where you have a Lazy Sunday. And yes I woke up in  the afternoon, 1 o'clock to be exact. (Lonely Island reference) And what better way than to start your day off with some delicious pancakes. I got this recipe from a friend and the pancakes were made for me, but they were super delicious so I thought I would share.

I just love second hand book stores. I saw these hardcover Winnie the Pooh books and just had to have them. Unfortunately pay day was a few days away, so I had to wait and luckily they were still there.

I lurve oats. It is my go to breakfast. Some say its a mission to cook oats on the stove in the mornings, and sometimes it is, but this way is awesome! It tastes great and is so easy to make. You can make some for the week and store it in the fridge. Yum.
